Designing for Experience: Behind One8 Commune Noida

Today, we want to take you behind the design, revealing how we crafted an experiential journey within One8 Commune.

Beyond Aesthetics: Crafting a Narrative
When we embarked on the One8 Commune Noida project, our vision was clear: to create more than just a dining establishment. We aimed to build a destination that embodies a captivating blend of urban sophistication and bohemian charm. The core idea was to craft a narrative that unfolds as guests move through the space, offering varied experiences within a cohesive design language.

1. The Art of Arrival: Setting the Tone
The entry sequence is crucial. For One8 Commune, we focused on an inviting yet intriguing entrance that subtly hints at the unique experience within. This initial impression is designed to pique curiosity and set a relaxed, yet refined, tone for the entire visit. Materials, lighting, and even subtle olfactory cues are all considered to create a warm welcome.

2. Thoughtfully Connected Zones: A Journey of Discovery
One of the key design strategies at One8 Commune was the creation of "thoughtfully connected zones." Rather than a monolithic dining hall, we envisioned distinct areas, each with its own character and ambiance, yet seamlessly flowing into one another.

1. The Casual Cocktail Bar: Designed for lively interactions and quick drinks, this area offers a vibrant energy with curated lighting and seating arrangements that encourage socialising.

2. Cozy Dinner Settings: Moving deeper, guests discover more intimate nooks ideal for longer, relaxed dinners. Here, the lighting becomes softer, the seating more plush, and the focus shifts to a more personal dining experience.

3. The Breezy Open-Air Seating: Capitalizing on Noida's climate, the outdoor area offers a refreshing alternative. This zone is designed to feel expansive and connected to nature, perfect for an evening under the stars.

4. The transitions between these zones are not abrupt but rather fluid, creating a sense of discovery as patrons explore the various facets of the restaurant.

3. Blending Influences: Urban Sophistication Meets Bohemian Charm
The design language of One8 Commune is a delicate balance. We integrated elements of urban sophistication through clean lines, curated finishes, and bespoke furniture pieces. This is softened and enriched by bohemian elements, seen in the use of natural textures, organic forms, and subtle artistic touches that add warmth and character. This juxtaposition creates a unique aesthetic that feels both contemporary and inviting.

4. The Power of Detail: Micro-Experiences
Every element, no matter how small, contributes to the overall experience. From the custom-designed lighting fixtures that cast ambient glow, to the choice of upholstery that invites comfort, and the curated art pieces that spark conversation – each detail was meticulously considered.
